SHEILA WHITE introduces her biographical novel The Letters: Postmark Prejudice in Black and White

Through her mother’s detailed diaries and letters, Sheila has written the story of her parents’ controversial inter-racial marriage in the late 1940s. Family and friends were desperate to dissuade a young white girl from Nova Scotia from marrying outside of her race. Some of the letters and diaries will be displayed at the event.
